About the Project
This green-field 500-acre site situated adjacent to an environmentally sensitive pristine waterway, Shingle Creek, required strict coordination with the local water management jurisdictions and the Army Corps of Engineers.
New construction of the 1 Million square-foot facility features a 1,000-room JW Marriott hotel; a 584-room Ritz Carlton hotel; 147,000 square feet of event and ballroom space; a 49,000 square foot spa and fitness center; 7 restaurants; a Greg Norman golf course with 40,000 square foot clubhouse; and a 100,000 square foot pool with water features.
Constant communication was necessary in order to manage this complex project. As Contract Executive, Kevin managed several project managers in the specialized trades to maintain the schedule goal. The project was scheduled using Primavera P3 software and was maintained and reviewed monthly by the site management team. This format was the guide and measure of progress throughout the 36 month schedule. Updates were the basis of short term interval progress reviews, which lead to the management of long lead delivery items.
